Introducing Meredith Villano’s new children’s book
When a child becomes sick or injured, parents seek a means to communicate support, promote joy, celebrate resiliency, and reduce their child’s fear. Children facing adversity seek role models projecting hope and strength. Children, families, and friends can learn to inspire each other while allowing themselves to laugh. Warriors Eat Alphabet Soup is a heartwarming catalyst for healing, which is embodied in a plucky little girl’s journey to health. The story is a tool that has been embraced by children with health challenges both great and small, those that love them, and medical professionals alike.
Judy likes soup, and loves to dance and sing. She started feeling sick but all the chicken soup in the world couldn’t make her feel better. With the support of family and friends she remembers that she’s strong and hears the clickity-clack of her tap shoes dancing “The Warrior Dance.”
Warriors Eat Alphabet Soup promotes empathy, reduces fear of sickness, aids parents during a difficult time, and celebrates the joy of spending time with family and friends.
